Creative Input

Dear Friends,

Thanks for visiting this site. Here I'll give you some input that will help you achieve your goals.

Many people have ideas. They're fired up in the beginning, but then later they forget about their ideas or give up on them. Why? I believe this is because some people feel that the road ahead is too long. They don't see anything happening, or they get discouraged by friends who tell them that they can never make it. Remember, ideas are not failures unless you give up on them.

I know from personal experience that some goals are not easy to reach. I need a lot of self-discipline to keep my dream alive. The real temptation to give up comes from friends, people you expose your dreams to. You see, there are some people who can give you thousands of reasons why you can't go forward and not one reason why you should. They are negative about everything. Most of them are people who have not gone far with their life. Whatever you say, they will always find some other way to discourage you. This is the number one enemy of success.

I remember one day, I told a friend of mine about introducing TsegBall to schools. Without even letting me finish talking, he jumped in and said, "I don't think this is going to work." I was so mad at myself and so angry for telling him my dream. To avoid letting him discourage me, I just replied, "Really? OK, we'll talk about that later." You see, it's not good to tell your dreams to people like that. When looking at his life, I began to see that he didn't have any dreams for himself, other than to go to work, go home, party, and so on. Be careful whom you tell your dreams to. Resist the urge to tell everybody about your dream. If not, you'll probably end up just like them.

One of things that helps me to hang on to my dream is a positive attitude, one that refuses to doubt. I began watching programs about inventors and successful people, and reading magazines that talk about projects and money. I stopped hanging out with negative people who didn't have a vision, and instead made new friends who had a vision and dreams for their life.

Sometimes you need to sacrifice to get to where you want to be. You need to lay aside anything that stops you from going forward. I mean, negative friends and partying all the time. You can't hang out with negative people and expect to be positive, my friend!

You need to start thinking big and expecting big things. You can't think defeat and be victorious. You can't think poverty and be successful. If you think small and expect small things, that's what you'll end up with. It works the same way for the positive. Think big, and that's what you'll get. Remember, failure is not final. There's nothing wrong with having big dreams for your life. Don't listen to people that try to tell you that your dreams are too big. Let them think small if they want too. You see, if I had never had a big dream for my life, I would not be here writing to you today.

Your dream may not come true as fast you want it to, but that doesn't mean it will never happen. You have to know that your enemies are waiting for you to fail so they can tell you, "I told you so." Listen, friend, don't fall into that trap. Just keep on trying until you get there. If you fail once, try again. Remember, keep trying until you succeed. Nobody's going to do it for you. You've got to do it for yourself. Remember God is on your side if you carry him with you.
